Blade: The D2 tool steel blade is capable of some serious cutting with a tall, +3.5 mm thick blade equipped with a high saber grind for a good balance of durability and slicing performance. A harpoon swedge at the tip enhances durability while offering good piercing performance. Opening fast and smooth on a ceramic ball bearing pivot, the blade deploys via the eye-like hole or index flipper tab. Jimping on the spine provides added traction for heavier cutting tasks. A fine satin finish on the blade delivers a classy, high-performance look.

Handle: Clean, sweeping lines of the G10 handles give the knife a stylish look with a contoured groove and hole cutout mirroring the hole in the blade giving the knife a futuristic look. A deep finger cutout pairs with the index flipper tab for a prominent guard that delivers solid security in the hand. Operation of the inset stainless steel liner lock is simple and offers a robust and secure lockup. A nearly full length back spacer protects the blade when closed and is jimped for added traction. This version is finished with satin hardware and a red anodized back spacer with a generous hole for lanyard attachment.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all-around knife steel.
