M Strider SMF New GG Black Aluminum CPM-20CV Blade Flamed Titanium Flat

The M. Strider Knives SMF New Gunner Grip Aluminum is a considerably sized, aggressively overbuilt and dependable hard use folder.  Not for the faint of heart and not dainty, the SMF is the largest of the Strider production folders offering an exceptional grip to large and gloved hands.  Built with aluminum and titanium handle construction for harsh environments and bronze washer pivot to handle dirt/sand better than ball bearings.

Blade: With a thick CPM-20CV blade, there's not much the SMF can't handle. This model comes with a standard flat ground spear point blade which has been heavily stonewashed, great for hiding everyday wear and tear. These feature a deep jimping on the top of the blade ensuring a secure grip during use. Each knife comes with a hair popping edge and is ready to go out of the package.

Handle: This SMF features a combination aluminum and titanium frame. What makes the Strider design standout is that the backspacer, traditionally a separate piece on most production knives, is integral to the front aluminum scale. Keeping with the hard use concept, Strider used bronze washers and a chain ring bolt construction to secure the blade. Also incorporated is the Hinderer lock bar stabilizer, which prevents over extension of the frame lock. This version comes with a black aluminum scale in the new gunner grip texture, with black oxide hardware and flat flame anodized lock side. A heavy duty flame anodized titanium clip is affixed for right hand, tip-up carry.

About New Gunner Grip: Per Josh Lee of M. Strider Knives, this new style gunner grip is yet to be officially named. It is less aggressive than the traditional Strider GG while providing an exceptional grip.

CPM-20CV: A highly wear resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, the steel contains a large volume of extremely hard vanadium carbides which provide excellent wear resistance. CPM-20CV contains the highest amount of chromium of any high-vanadium stainless steel currently available. The chromium-rich matrix provides outstanding corrosion resistance.
