T.A. Davison Custom Burlap G-Carta Satin A2 Clip Point Slip Joint w/ Braided Leather Lanyard

Todd Davison provides custom, traditional slip joint pocket knives that are truly handmade and one of a kind. Having produced over 1800 slip joint knives, Davison utilizes premium materials and offers exceptional quality and attention to detail in a timeless, traditional design. #1898 comes with CPM-154 liners, shield and bolsters and a hand rubbed satin Clip Point blade of A2 tool steel with custom Burlap G-Carta (Micarta) covers and braided leather lanyard.

Blade:  The Clip Point blade is finished in a hand rubbed satin finish with a classic nail nick for opening and marked "T.A. Davison USA" on the front tang. A2 tool steel sharpens beautifully, offering excellent performance with the shallow, hollow grind and will develop a unique patina over time with use and handling. The swedged clip point offers a fine, finishing touch to this beautiful custom piece.

Handle:  Handsome and rugged Burlap G-Carta (Micarta) covers are precision fit to the stainless steel liners and polished stainless bolsters. Blade side liners have a coined edge with added file work on the inside of the back spring for a truly custom feel. Stainless pins are used to secure the covers and the display side has a stainless knapped Arrowhead shield for a timeless feel. The back spring is smooth and solid with half-stop action and sits flush in all three positions. Already attached through the hollow tube is a braided leather lanyard for easy draw from the pocket.

Pouch: Includes a fleece lined nylon zipper pouch & leather slip pouch for carry and storage.

A2 Tool Steel: An excellent air-hardening tool steel, A2 is tougher than AISI D2 and AISI M2, with less wear resistance. Its good toughness makes it a frequent choice for combat and outdoor knives. Sharpens easily to a razor like edge and has better corrosion resistance than most simple carbon steels.
