With ergonomics and style similar to the TOPS Mountain Lion, the Dakota Drifter delivers nearly a pound of pure piercing power while retaining solid utility as an outdoor field knife. TOPS builds the Dakota Drifter in time tested fashion with black traction coated 1095 carbon steel and blue/black layered G10 handle scales.

Blade: The beefy 1/4” thick carbon steel blade is black traction coated for a durable, non-reflective and corrosion resistant finish excepting the false edge swedge in fine satin. While optimized for piercing, the saber grind offers exceptional durability with solid cutting functionality.

Handle: The full tang construction supports hand filling scales of contoured black and blue layered G10 over a proud full tang for a more contoured feel. The scales are tough and weather resistant, with an ergonomic design that is comfortable in extended use. The generous finger guard delivers added security, while the forward finger choil provides added control in use.

Sheath: Carries via a MOLLE compatible nylon sheath.

1095 Carbon Steel: A simple carbon steel used extensively by production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear (edge retention) due to low carbide content and easy to sharpen to a fine edge. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. Differential heat treat can deliver a harder edge and tougher spine for enhanced performance.
