TOPS Knives Jensen Survival Tool Fixed Blade JST01

The Jensen Survival Tool is designed to be a companion for a small folder or fixed blade. The thick black traction coated 1095 tool steel full tang construction can take the abuse lighter knives can't handle. A chisel style tip can be used for prying and getting into whatever you need while being fully sharpened for added utility. Skeletonized for traction and weight reduction, the handle can be paracord wrapped for added comfort.

Blade: Made from +3/16 inch thick, Black Traction coated 1095 carbon steel, the blade has a high saber grind and straight spine for balanced performance. The chisel tip is sharpened for solid piercing ability while being strong enough for prying tasks. Jimping on the spine and an index choil offer added safety while the coated blade resists corrosion and wear and is discreetly non-reflective.

Handle: The full tang blade is skeletonized for traction with a contoured design for comfort in use. The handle design offers security in the hand while being low to profile in carry. The pommel has a milled groove that can be used for striking the included ferro rod for fire making. A stainless ball chain can be used to carry the ferro rod and Military P-38 can opener independently of the knife.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with piggyback ferro rod holder.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. TOPS utilizes a differential heat treat process which delivers a harder edge and tougher spine.
