Details
The TOPS Brakimo Bushcraft Global Modified Scandi was designed by Bushcraft expert and guide, Joe Flowers. Used in accompaniment to the TOPS Machete .170 on the Bushcraft Global excursions to the Amazonian Rainforest, the Brakimo is an all around tool designed to face everything from chopping and batoning to drilling holes. Brand new directly from TOPS Knives.
The Blade: Designed to be an extremely useful survival tool, the full tang 1095 tool steel blade offers a wide profile with the TOPS modified Scandi grind capable of chopping, battoning and splitting. Deep bellied, the blade narrows toward the tip for more detailed tasks such as drilling holes for bow-drill fires or other delicate tasks. Dark tumbled flats with brutally sharp satin grinds.
The Handle: Green canvas micarta handle scales have been very slightly contoured to fit a natural grip in hand and attached to the tang with oversized allen screw construction. A touch of texture is present in the micarta making it ideal for extremely wet or hot conditions to maintain a no slip grip. The handle also features a bow drill divot for making primitive type fires, and thumb scallops at the hilt for a better controlled grip when carving or skinning. Oversized lanyard hole and accenting red fiber liners finish the piece.
The Sheath: Includes a molded kydex sheath with rotating injection molded nylon clip. Can be affixed for veritical or horizontal carry on belt or gear.
