Head: Differentially heat treated 1075 is used for the head and full-tang construction to deliver exceptional durability in this hardworking chopper. The broad bearded head and sweeping 5.75-inch cutting edge make this axe powerfully efficient in chopping while retaining good control and accuracy. This design is very versatile, capable of handling chopping as well as fine work. A hammer pole provides enhanced utility.

Handle: The handle follows classic lines with a sweeping crook backed design and prominent end knob for comfortable and efficient swinging with one or two hands. Tan canvas Micarta is durable, weather resistant and milled with grooves to offer high traction for an exceptionally secure grip even when wet. Ergonomically contoured, the scales are attached to the tang with large stainless bolts over contrasting red liners for a solid, balanced platform. The neck of the handle features cross milling between the bolts for comfort when gripping close to the head for fine work. Two holes at the end allow for lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Includes a stitched brown leather blade cover for secure transport and storage.

1075 High Carbon Steel: Simple carbon steel used by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Good performance with proper heat treatment. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
