TOPS Szabo Express Double Edge Black 1095 Canvas Micarta Tactical Fixed Blade SZEX-02

Laci Szabo LEO, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and martial artist developed the Szabo Express for use in combat and self-defense when unable to carry a firearm. Deploying a fixed blade relies on gross motor skills making it more reliable than a folder in life and death scenarios while being compact to carry and capable of inflicting serious damage. As with his previous TOPS designs (US Combat Knife and Felony Stop) the Szabo Express dagger is a carefully considered and functional tool. Made with black Cerakote 1095 carbon steel and black canvas Micarta this version comes with a double edge blade.

Blade: The 5/32” thick carbon steel blade comes with a durable, non-reflective black Cerakote coating for enhanced corrosion resistance and discreet use. Dual hollow grinds make deliver a double edge blade that is fast and well-balanced with powerful performance in piercing and slicing. This purpose built tool was not designed for prying or digging. The double guard and spine jimping provide safety in heavy use.

Handle: The full tang construction supports hand filling scales of contoured black canvas Micarta over red liners attached with black stainless steel hardware. The scales are tough and weather resistant with a neutral design and solid ergonomics for use in multiple grips. An exposed portion of the tang at the pommel can be used as an impact tool and lanyard attachment point.

Sheath: Carries via a Kydex sheath with removable metal spring clip.

1095 Carbon Steel: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, 1095 can be differentially heat treated (hard edge/soft spine) for optimized performance.
