TOPS Trail Seeker Black 1095 Green Canvas Micarta Fixed Blade

The Trail Seeker is A product of TOPS’ 4th employee design contest, the Trail Seeker was designed by Kydex manager Luis Murillo. His concept was to produce a minimalist and utilitarian blade with key features: a comfortable handle with a bit of a guard and a nice swell, a simple, effective blade design with a good tip and a Kydex sheath comfortable daily carry. Check it out and you'll agree that he succeeded on all fronts. This version comes with a blade of Black Traction coated 1095 and green canvas Micarta handle scales.

Blade: Made from 3/16 inch thick, Black Traction coated 1095 carbon steel, the blade has a high saber grind and straight clip for balanced performance and solid piercing ability. Jimping on the spine offer added safety while the coated blade resists corrosion and wear and is discreetly non-reflective.

Handle: Green canvas Micarta handle scales are attached to the full tang blade over white liners and are milled a generous palm swell and grooved sections for excellent traction while the contoured edges provide comfort for extended use. The handle design offers security in the hand while being comfortable in multiple grips. The exposed pommel can be used as an impact tool and is milled with a hole for lanyard attachment.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. TOPS utilizes a differential heat treat process which delivers a harder edge and tougher spine.
