The model 908A Schism from WE Knife Company is a classic Wharncliffe design executed in a modern style. High performance materials like American CPM-S35VN blade steel and 6AL4V Titanium complement the clean liners of this gentleman's every day carry design that delivers ergonomic comfort and performance for use. This version comes with gold anodized milled holes and fine stonewashed blade.

Blade: The Stonewashed CPM-S35VN blade rides on a ceramic ball bearing pivot for ultra smooth, fast deployment via anodized thumb stud. The hollow ground Wharncliffe blade cuts like a razor with a top swedge tapering to a fine point for piercing and fine cutting tasks with a refined stonewashed finish that looks classy but hides wear from use.

Handle: The clean lines of the Schism are executed in matte gray titanium with a milled groove faux bolster and gold anodized milled holes providing visual appeal and added traction. An open back construction makes for easy cleaning and maintenance of the knife with a steel lock face equipped integral frame lock offering smooth operation and solid lock up. A hole at the exposed pommel end allows for lanyard attachment.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
