Designed by German custom knife maker Toni Tietze of TNT Knives, the Scoppio from WE Knives is a sleek, modern, frame lock flipper that is the folding mirror to his Reazio hunting knife. Built on a modern flipper platform the Scoppio sports a classic, drop point profile blade executed in compound ground CPM-20CV for optimized performance. This version comes with a stonewashed blade and tumbled, blue anodized titanium handle scales.

Blade: Sporting a heavy stone wash finish, the drop point profile, the 4 mm thick CPM-20CV blade comes with a compound grind: flat ground in the front for slicing and hollow saber ground in the back for heavy work. Paired with a subtle top swedge the blade delivers a fine tip for piercing and detail work. Both the flipper tab and subtle choil enhance safety during heavy work. Riding on a ceramic ball bearing pivot, the blade deploys fast and smooth via the integral flipper tab with a well dialed in detent.

Handle: Contoured, 6AL4V Titanium provides a solid platform for the integral frame lock and front scale of the Scoppio. Tietze's designs have a simple elegance while offering suburb ergonomics with a subtle taper toward the end of the handle that locks the knife in the hand. A hardened steel lock face provides smooth, reliable lock operation and doubles as over travel prevention. The tumbled, blue anodized finish looks great while hiding wear from use and carry.

CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless tool steel, an analog to Bohler's M390, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.
