Zero Tolerance 0462BLK Sprint Run Black Carbon Fiber Black DLC S35VN Flipper

The Zero Tolerance 0462 is the big brother of the compact 0460. It is another manual opening Flipper designed by Belarusian knife maker Dmitry Sinkevich based on his full size Poluchotkiy model. It fits well in the role of a large every day carry folder or field knife while retaining a slim profile and light weight for excellent carry.

This Sprint Run comes with a black DLC coated CPM-S35VN blade, DLC titanium frame lock and black Carbon Fiber front scale.

Blade: Just like the smaller 0460 the 0462BLK sports a sweeping, Persian-styled blade with a two-tone finish of satin grinds and tumbled flats. As with many ZT knives the 0462BLK is equipped with the KVT Bearing Pivot System ultra fast and smooth flipper deployment. The 0462BLK features an tough CPM S35VN blade with non-reflective Diamond Like Carbon coating that is highly wear and corrosion resistant.

Handle: The titanium frame lock is equipped with a hardened steel lock face insert for smooth, solid operation. The frame lock side is comes with matching black DLC coating and is curved to fit comfortably in the hand. An all black carbon fiber scale is contoured for comfort and keeping the knife ultralight sub-4 oz. weight. The 0462BLK is completed with a black anodized aluminum backspacer, black custom style pivot and reversible (tip-up) Black Titanium pocket clip for carry.

CPM S35VN: was designed to offer improved toughness over CPM S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. The inclusion of Niobium allows for the formation of niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping.
