Kershaw
Kershaw has been a leader and innovator in the knife industry for over 35 years. The company began with the manufacturing of fine field knives, folding pocket knives and floating fish fillets and has expanded on each of these lines. Their field knives feature high quality blade steels and easy to grip handles. The most advancement the company has made in the knife industry is in the realm of assisted opening knives. In 1998, Kershaw Knives was one of the first to release an assisted opening knife. Their SpeedSafe assisted openers were an instant success. Kershaw has worked with celebrated knife makers Ken Onion and Mick Strider. Since 2003, Kershaw has added the Shun Kitchen Cutlery line as well as the tactical Zero Tolerance line.
Kershaw Knives opened for business in 1974 in Oregon. The knife company was soon bought by kai USA, Ltd. Operating under kai, the Kershaw knife brand has flourished. Kershaw operates a 55,000 square foot warehouse in Tualatin, Oregon where they produce, market and perform much of their research and development.
