The Boker Kalashnikov 74 automatic is a full size budget friendly option that makes a solid entry into the world of automatic knives and a great choice for EDC weighing in at under 4 ounces! The drop point blade deploys fast and smooth via the button lock mechanism and the grooved aluminum handles provide comfort and security. This version comes with a Desert Tan coated D2 tool steel blade and matching aluminum handles.
D2 Tool Steel: Used as a die cutting steel since WW II, D2 offers a good combination of hardness and wear resistance with moderate toughness and stain resistance. High chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) gives D2 better corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels.
