Designed by Andre Schröter of Midgards knives, the Ylvi EDC neck knife delivers a robust and compact blade with a full size handle and multiple carry options. Midgards knives is known for their use of digital files that allow users to customize their knives by 3D printing scales at home. The Ylvi fixed blade has an integrated pocket clip and Kydex sheath for multiple carry options and offers a stout 4.7 mm 2-1/8 inch sheepsfoot blade with a handle large enough to accommodate the largest of hands. The Ylvi comes with textured black G10 scales and a stonewashed D2 tool steel blade.

Blade: The utilitarian sheepsfoot D2 tool steel blade comes with a rugged stonewashed finish to hide wear from use and a high saber grind for balanced performance and durability. Large dual fullers add style and reduce weight while fine jimping on nearly the full length of the spine is great for indexing and traction. The bottom of the blade forms an integral guard for a secure grip.

Handle: Textured black G10 scales are attached to the full tang blade that rides proud to the scales for a more contoured feel. Strategic jimping, scallops and hole milling throughout provide a solid, secure grip and reduce weight on the full size handle. A neutral design makes the handle comfortable in multiple grip positions for versatility while a large hole at the pommel allows for lanyard attachment. An integrated steel clip can be used to attach the knife for pocket carry and fast deployment. The scales can be removed via the stainless Torx hardware for cleaning and maintenance or for replacement with custom scales.

Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with steel ball chain for neck carry.

D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. With a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) D2 offers greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels. With a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance D2 is a well-balanced, all around knife steel.
