W2 is a fine grained, high hardness tool steel that excels in a small blade like the Fixed Ranger. The Blade: The blade is made from W2 tool steel that takes a fine, razor like edge and thanks to the high working hardness provides excellent cutting performance with a thin edge. The clip point profile and hollow grind deliver that thin edge and a fine point making the Fixed Ranger an top-notch little hunting knife. Keep in mind that W2 is not a stainless steel but a quick wipe and a little oil will go a long way in preventing corrosion.

The Handle: In the classic style the Fixed Ranger bears an aluminum pommel end and double guard. Stacked Blue Lucite makes up most of the contoured handle with some White Lucite thrown in for highlights. The knife is well balanced in the hand an offers exceptional comfort during extended use.
