The Buck Bantam family of pocket knives is a budget-friendly lock back folder built in the USA perfect for everyday carry. The Bantam comes in four sizes to fit all hands and a wide array of colors and patterns.

Coming in at just under 8.5 inches overall the 286 Bantam BHW is the large version and is equipped with a blade of 3.5 inches. This particular version has a RealTree Xtra Green Camo pattern handle.

Blade: A drop point 420HC steel blade is finished with a rugged, stonewashed finish that hides wear from use, a slicing hollow grind and top swedge tapering to a fine point. Its shape is very utilitarian for all-around use and comes quite sharp out of the box. Dual thumb studs are provided for opening but the blade can be easily opened with a simple pinch grip.

Handle: Glass-reinforced Nylon handles are strong, lightweight and great for all-weather environments. Dual thumb stud opening coupled with a reliable lock back mechanism make the Bantam fully ambidextrous. Each scale is textured and contoured with nice ergonomics for a comfortable grip. A generous oval hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a right hand, tip down only stainless steel pocket clip.

420HC Stainless Steel: 420HC is a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
