Blades: The Paul Bos heat treated, 420HC stainless steel blades offer a superior blend of hardness, wear resistance, ease of sharpening and high corrosion resistance for every day use. The main blade is an iconic clip point profile, useful for just about any cutting chore. The shallow, hollow ground blades are slicing machines. The main blade is supported by robust Sheepsfoot and Spey blades. All blades open via a generous nail nick.
Handle: This traditional design is built with steel liners and pins holding the durable injection molded covers and nickel silver bolsters solidly in place. The front cover is adorned with the Buck oval shield for a classic look and feel.
Closed length: 4"
Bos 420HC: Buck's standard blade material approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of a stainless steel. The exclusive Bos heat-treat process delivers a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability and ease of sharpening. For best performance blades are hardened to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.
