Built on the classic Case Trapper pattern, the Equestrian's Knife is a specialized, large traditional folder that is ready for serious use. The classic slip joint design offers a perfect combination for horses and riders alike: a large Tru-Sharp stainless steel Clip blade and a robust hoof pick. The comfortable handle made with nickel silver bolsters and Amber Bone Peach Seed Jig covers. Great for daily use or as an addition to any Case collection.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blades: In keeping with the Trapper pattern this folder features a full-size clip point and swaps a hefty hoof pick for the spay blade, both at the same end of the handle. Both blades are made from polished Tru-Sharp stainless steel with a shallow hollow grind and nail nick opener on the Clip blade. The "blades" open smoothly from the closed position with a solid snap from the back spring keeping the blade secure and ready to use.
Handle: Peach Seed Amber Jigged Bone covers are rugged and timeless with a warm, natural feel. Framed by nickel silvers bolsters the scales are attached to brass liners with brass pins in the traditional style and feature the case Oval Script shield on the front.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
