Details
The small, serpentine-shaped jack knife from Case knives known as the Peanut comes equipped with dual blades mounted at the same end of the elegantly curved handle. The Peanut makes a great choice for dress carry and easily finds a home in a fifth pocket or coin pocket. The “barehead” moniker reference the traditional American feature of no bolster at the cap end. This version comes with Tru-Sharp stainless-steel blades and Sawcut Jig Amber Bone covers.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blades: This Peanut features a full-size clip point and spay blade both at the same end of the handle. Satin finished Tru-Sharp stainless-steel blades have shallow hollow grinds for balanced performance and durability. The blades open smoothly via the nail nick openers with a solid snap from the back spring keeping the blades secure and ready to use.
Handle: Polished nickel silver bolsters top the Sawcut Jig Amber Bone covers for a rustic look and feel. Brass liners house the blades and springs, which deliver snappy slip joint operation. The handle front sports a polished Bombshell shield.
Case Tru-Sharp: Case Tru-Sharp is another name for 420HC, a stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough for a stainless steel. With appropriate heat treatment, it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
