The Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 gets Leopard Wood for 2026, a flecked exotic hardwood set into a polished titanium frame lock, marked with the year and paired with a polished MagnaCut drop point.
- Leopard Wood Inlay & Polished Titanium Frame - Wide medullary rays scatter pale flecks over the reddish brown Leopardwood, so every panel reads its own way. The frame is polished on the flats with glass blasted edges, and the inlays fill the hand fuller than plain titanium.
- Polished MagnaCut Drop Point - MagnaCut is a premium stainless that holds an edge like a high-vanadium tool steel while shrugging off rust. Chris Reeve runs it hollow ground and polished at 63-64 RC.
- Reeve Integral Lock & Bronze Washers - The lockbar is cut integral to the titanium handle and carries a ceramic ball that bears on the blade tang. Oversized bronze washers run the pivot, and the thumb lug opens it smooth and near hydraulic with no play in the blade.
- Offset Titanium Pocket Clip - The machined titanium clip carries tip-up and sits on the flat of the handle, clear of the lockbar, so nothing presses against the bar while you open it. Chris Reeve builds this one right-hand specific, with the frame laid out to match.
The Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31
The Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 is the full-size version of the folder that set the standard for what a production knife could be. Sebenza is Zulu for work, and the knife was built to earn the name, machined to tolerances usually reserved for aerospace parts and meant to still be used decades on. Chris Reeve gave it a lock of his own invention, a titanium lockbar cut integral to the handle, and the 31 runs a ceramic ball in that lockbar against the blade tang.
The Chris Reeve Annual Sebenza
Chris Reeve ran the Annual Sebenza from 1999 through 2011, building one configuration each year and engraving every knife with the year it was made. The run returns as a GPKNIVES exclusive with the format intact. Each year brings a different inlay material, each knife carries its year on the handle, and once produced they are not manufactured again.
