The Cold Steel Roach Belly is based on a traditional trade knife pattern and was designed to be an affordable performance orientated fixed blade hunting and skinning knife. Relatively compact for carry, the Roach Belly is capable enough to skin, dress and process even large game. Perfect to throw in a camping pack or in a survival kit as well as for a lightweight everyday carry option. The Roach Belly comes with a satin finished, German 4116 stainless steel blade with polymer handle and sheath.
Blade: Durable, German stainless steel with a fine satin finish offers solid performance with minimal maintenance and easy field sharpening. A Straight spine profile has plenty of belly for skinning duties with a high hollow grind for a good balance of durability and slicing performance.
Handle: A durable, lightweight and weather proof polymer handle delivers a solid four finger grip with a subtle micro texture to resist slipping. A generous hole in the pommel allows for an optional lanyard to be attached.
Sheath: Carries via a Secure-Ex polymer sheath with integral belt loop and traditional button loop.
4116 German Stainless Steel: Thyssen-Krupp medium carbon steel also produced as 1.4116, is similar in performance to 420HC. Used in both Henckels and Wusthofs kitchen cutlery.
