Compression Lock Knives

Developed and patented by Spyderco, the Compression Lock looks like an upside-down liner lock located on the handle spine. As the blade opens, a leaf-spring lock bar wedges between a ramp on the blade tang and a steel stop pin, so any force meant to close the blade only jams it tighter against that fixed pin, making it one of the strongest folding knife locks available.
