ESEE Imlay Stainless Steel Fixed Blade Rescue Knife 440C

The ESEE Imlay is a rescue knife variant of popular Izula EDC neck knife. The Imlay offers the same full tang, 440C Stainless Steel construction with skeletonized handles for a compact foot print and weight reduction. For use in SAR, swift-water and recreational rope activities the Imlay has a blunted tip, serrations, added handle jimping and a built in O2 slot. The sheath is enhanced with a retention button and strap that offers added security in adverse conditions.

Blade: The Imlay is made from solid 440C Stainless Steel that has been fully flat ground to provide plenty of optimal slicing performance while retaining plenty of strength thanks to the full tang construction. The blunt tip enhances safety around tensioned ropes or for rescue operations while the partially serrated edge makes short work of tough, fibrous materials. The knife is finished in a rugged stone wash that reduces reflectivity and hides wear from use. No coating required on this one as it is a stainless steel, perfect for use in wet environments.

Handle: The handle is an extension of the full tang construction on this fixed blade. The skeletonized tang reduces weight and gives added traction with or without the included paracord wrap. The handle offers a full, four finger grip for those with small to medium size hands while maintaining a minimal footprint. An O2 wrench is built right into the handle and extra jimping at the rear provides additional traction. The secondary retention strap doubles as a lanyard when the knife is in use.
