The practical, tactical, every day carry Fastball is an American-made EDC knife that marked Gerber's first foray into the ball bearing pivot flipper. This version expands on the original with a modern cleaver-style blade of high performance CPM-20CV. Still riding on the B.O.S.S. tech bearing pivot deployment is fast and smooth every time. This version comes with a tumbled and polished blade and blue aluminum handles.

Blade: Polished and tumbled CPM-20CV delivers excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance with a full flat grind for optimal slicing. The cleaver profile has a subtle belly and tip that make it perfect for all around utility. The blade rides on a ball bearing pivot for consistently smooth action and fast deployment.

Handle: The single stainless steel liner construction also forms the lock mechanism which provides smooth operation and secure lock up. The rest of the handle is made from lightweight, durable, aircraft-grade aluminum with a hard anodized finish. A generous oval hole is provided for lanyard attachment.

Carries via a 3-Position (RH/Reversible, LH/Tip-Up), stainless steel pocket clip.

CPM 20CV: CPM 20CV is a highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, analogous to Bohler M390 and CTS-204P, and offers some of the best corrosion resistance and wear resistance in combination with a relative ease of sharpening. These properties along with a working hardness in the low 60s HRC make 20CV a prime choice among custom and production makers.
