Details
GiantMouse designers Anso and Vox drew inspiration for the design of the GMF2 and leather dangler sheath from the style of knives they grew up using in Denmark. A modern version of an old Nordic work blade. Inspired by the classic puukko, the GM2 offers a clean, simple and ergonomic design that was built to work with modern, high performance materials. This version comes with a satin finished N690 blade, double black canvas Micarta handle scales and black sheath.
Brand new, direct from GiantMouse Knives.
Blade: A long, slim, straight spine profile is delivered in satin finished Bohler N690 with a durable high saber grind. The blade shape lends itself to a variety of cutting tasks and heavy outdoor use. A small section of jimping on the spine offers added traction and can be used for striking a fire rod.
Handle: Contoured, blasted canvas Micarta handle scales are supported by the full tang construction. The scales pair with a crowned spine for a comfortable feel and provide traction even when wet with milled grooves for indexing. A relatively neutral design allows for multiple grip positions.
Sheath: Carries via a handcrafted Italian leather sheath with dangler drop belt loop.
Bohler N690: N690 is a high quality stainless steel, considered an upgrade to 440C. It has higher hardness and wear resistance for better edge retention while sacrificing some toughness. Corrosion resistance is high, at or better than VG-10. Easy to sharpen, this is a well-balanced steel for daily carry and use.
