• Large 1095 Carbon Steel Wharncliffe Blade - The large blade offers more edge to work with for roughing out and long shaving cuts, still straight from heel to tip. 1095 takes a keen edge with very little effort at the stone. Carbon steel rusts when stored wet, so dry the blade and oil it after a session.
• Osage Orange Wood Covers & Nickel Silver Bolster - One of the densest woods on the continent, sanded flat and pinned with brass. It leaves the bench a bright gold and darkens toward amber with sunlight and pocket time. No two sets of scales age the same way.
