The Hinderer Knives XM-18 3.5" Gen 5 Spanto with OD Green & Black 3D textured G10 is a precision-crafted hard-use tactical folder. It features a Spanto style blade and integral flipper for easy opening when it matters most. As the medium sized model in the Hinderer family, the XM-18 3.5 was designed to fit most hands comfortably and has a reasonable blade size to handle most any task. Ease of opening and closing one-handed combined with a reliable lock system were targets that have been achieved with the XM-18.

The Gen 5 features a hardened steel lock face insert.

The Blade:  The three and a half inch blade opens fast and smooth via the integral flipper or dual thumb studs/blade stops. The Spanto profile combines the enhanced tip strength of the Japanese Tanto with the utility and performance of a traditional spear point profile. The CPM S35VN blade delivers edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness for excellent performance. It sports Hinderer's "Battle Black" tumbled DLC finish. Rick's own 17-4PH state-of-the-art pivot system creates silky smooth operation; the moderate detent requires a decisive action for fast deployment.

The Handle:  Full titanium frame lock and liner have a matching Battle black finish that is durable and hides wear well, offering a rugged aesthetic. Satin Hardware and black standoffs create one solid package while 3D texturing on the OD Green & Black layered G-10 scale coupled with jimping all around create a solid grip. There is also a bit of a choil to choke up on the blade for more detailed cutting tasks as well. This Hinderer XM-18 includes the famous Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer and two-position Battle Black titanium clip and insert for tip up or down right hand carry.

As with all Hinderer Knives, the XM-18 is completely customizable from clip and standoffs to the lockbar stabilizer and pivot.
