The KA-BAR Mark I is a modern remake of the ever popular and highly sought after knife issued to the Department of the Navy during WWII. This modern interpretation has been outfitted with a black epoxy powder-coated carbon steel blade and Kraton G handle. The modernized classic offers a time-tested design with modern performance.
Brand new directly from Ka-Bar Knives and Made in the USA.
Blade: The full tang 1095 Cro-Van blade comes with a matte black, non-reflective epoxy powder-coated finish with KA-BAR markings and USN stamped on the tang. The Clip point blade is fully flat ground with a long clip that delivers a blade that slices and pierces very well. The stock thickness and heat treat deliver a military tough knife that both compact and utilitarian.
Handle: The handle is made of Kraton G which is nearly impervious to sweat, chemicals, water and wear while delivering both excellent traction and shock absorption. The through tang finishes in a hefty carbon steel butt cap that can be used for improvised hammering and matches the small forward guard.
Sheath: Ships with a polymer sheath with retaining strap, self-locking function and multiple tie-down points.
