The Launch 9 push button automatic knife from Kershaw is a smaller, more user-friendly version of the popular Launch 4. The Launch 9 has a sub-2 inch, CPM-154 Drop Point blade and is a great little backup that looks good, acts fast and carries very well so you will not be weighed down wherever you carry it. This one has a Gray anodized aluminum handle and stonewashed blade. Perfect for the pocket, pouch, pack or purse!
CPM-154: CPM-154 is a particle metallurgy version of 154CM that benefits from the refinement in the PM process providing it with an increase in toughness and easy of finishing. CPM-154 takes a very fine edge and is highly corrosion resistant. Edge retention is going to be on-par with CPM S30V while being easier to resharpen. A great all-around blade steel.
