The MachineWise Sonora #2163 flips fast and free off the flipper tab, its smooth tumbled titanium frame set off by a brass bolster and a lightwash S90V blade. A numbered Phoenix integral built to carry clean.

• S90V Lightwash Drop Point Blade - S90V is a high-vanadium stainless whose hard carbides give it long edge retention and heavy wear resistance. Those same carbides make it stubborn to sharpen, taking diamond or CBN stones to touch up. The lightwash finish stays bright, and this blade tested at 63.1 HRC.
• Bushing Pivot Flipper Action - A stainless bushing pivot tuned to tight tolerances lets the blade flip fast and free off the flipper tab. The action stays glassy from the first press, with no grit and no wobble. This ranks among the smoothest folders you will handle, and it fires the same way every time.
• Button Lock - The button lock presses clean and drops the blade shut with a light nudge, one-handed and fully ambidextrous. Lockup is rock solid with zero blade play, and the blade sits dead centered on every close. It is a mechanism you stop thinking about because it simply works.
• Smooth Tumbled Titanium Handle - The frame is an integral, machined from one block of Grade 5 titanium with a smooth face and soft tumbled finish. A brass bolster adds warm contrast against the pale blade, and the reversible deep-carry clip rides low for either hand. It fills the palm like a solid tool.

The MachineWise Sonora

The MachineWise Sonora is the first folding knife from a small five-person shop in Phoenix, Arizona. It carries into an everyday format the flipper background that MachineWise earned building balisongs, built around a button lock for secure, repeatable lockup and quick one-handed use. The frame is an integral, cut from a single block of Grade 5 titanium so the whole handle is one solid piece instead of a sandwich of slabs and hardware. Every Sonora leaves the shop numbered, with the blade hardness tested and written on the QC card in the box.
