MachineWise Sonora

The MachineWise Sonora is an integral folder machined from one solid block of titanium, setting the pivot, lock, and clip into a single rigid frame. This bushing-pivot flipper opens glass-smooth, with near-hydraulic travel and almost no blade play. A masterclass in tolerances, this EDC button lock from MachineWise is designed and built entirely within their Phoenix, AZ workshop.

What is an integral knife?

An integral knife is machined from a single piece of titanium instead of built from separate scales and liners. On the Sonora, the pivot, lock, and clip all seat in that one piece, which makes the frame stiffer and holds tighter tolerances than a bolted handle. You feel it as a dense, solid knife with no flex, and the button lock drops into a firm, repeatable lockup that holds the blade without wiggle.
