MachineWise Sonora

The MachineWise Sonora is machined from one solid block of titanium, setting the pivot, lock, and clip into a single rigid frame. The bushing-pivot flipper opens glass-smooth, with near-hydraulic travel and almost no blade play. A button lock holds it open, and it stays light in the pocket. MachineWise designs and builds each Sonora in-house in Phoenix.

What is an integral knife?

An integral knife is machined from a single piece of titanium instead of built from separate scales and liners. On the Sonora, the pivot, lock, and clip all seat in that one piece, which makes the frame stiffer and holds tighter tolerances than a bolted handle. You feel it as a dense, solid knife with no flex, and the button lock drops into a firm, repeatable lockup that holds the blade without wiggle.
