The Combat Troodon out-the-front automatic from Microtech is a substantial tool, popular among military, law enforcement and first responders. Its large size lends itself to situations requiring a more robust cutting tool while remaining slim enough for daily carry. Like its bird-like dinosaur namesake, this Troodon is ready to strike. This Signature Series version is part of the “Frag Off” series with frag pattern handle and lanyard bead in grenade green with a double reverse full serrated Apocalyptic finish blade.

Blade: The double edge blade has a rugged blasted and tumbled “apocalyptic” finish on the grinds with fine satin flats. Dual fully serrated cutting edges make short work of problematic tasks, with the forward edge reversed (right-handed) for more optimal performance. Double action automatic operation is fast, smooth, and reliable. Move the thumb slide up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both positions to reduce wear.

Handle: The “grenade green” finished 6061-T6 aluminum handle has plenty of real estate for a solid grip even in gloves, with jimping and frag pattern milling for traction and contoured edges for comfort. Black proprietary hardware completes the construction, along with the apocalyptic clip, lanyard hole end and attached frag grenade bead lanyard. The Talon logo and “FRAG OFF” are marked on the clip.

Carries via a right-hand stainless-steel deep carry clip.
