This Mini Amphibian RAM-LOK from Microtech pairs a black-coated M390MK recurve with Merlot Red Frag-milled aluminum and a RAM-LOK crossbar lock, set up for slicing rope, cord and cardboard.

• M390MK Recurve Blade - M390MK is a premium powder stainless from Bohler, made for Microtech. It holds a working edge well and resists corrosion, though sharpening wants diamond or CBN. The recurve puts more edge on the same length of blade.
• Merlot Red Frag Aluminum Scales - The scales are aluminum, anodized Merlot Red and milled in panels near each end with Frag, a crosshatched pattern cut after the fragmentation grid of a grenade body. The milling grips without biting.
• RAM-LOK & Bearing Action - RAM-LOK drives a large steel bar on a single coil spring, with X-Button pads on both flanks and a release reaching the spine. Off the thumb studs it opens smooth on bearings and locks up rock solid, dropping shut on release.
• Ambidextrous Carry & Stainless Steel Clip - Thumb studs on both sides and a clip that changes flanks make this fully ambidextrous. The clip is stainless steel, smooth edged for a positive draw and set up tip-up, and it switches sides easily with a common Torx driver.
