Jose "Pepe" Jalomo Jr. is a custom knifemaker who has honed his skill to perfection and this custom Zulu pattern slip joint is an excellent example of it and his attention to detail. The handle is a traditional Zulu pattern with green canvas micarta covers. The blade is a beautifully satin-finished Spear Point made from CPM-154 for modern performance.
Knife is brand new, direct from the maker at the 2019 USN Gathering in Las Vegas.
Blade: Premium CPM 154 stainless steel is finished with a beautiful, hand-rubbed satin finish and a subtle swedge tapering the spear point with precision. CPM-154 delivers modern performance with an solid balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness and thanks to the spear point profile and shallow hollow grind it slices and pierces with the best. A generous nail nick allows for easy opening of the blade on the smooth slip joint back spring, also made of CPM 154. Excellent walk and talk with a flush spine in all three positions.
Handle: The traditional Zulu pattern is executed green canvas micarta covers for a classic appearance. The back spring is also equipped with a hand rubbed satin finish which matches the steel bombshell shield on the front cover.
Hand-stitched leather pouch included for pocket carry and storage.
