Protech Avalon Peace Neighbor Red Knurled Aluminum MagnaCut Black DLC Button Lock Folder (4.25" Blade) PN1103-RED

This Protech Avalon pairs a red knurled aluminum handle with a black DLC MagnaCut blade ground thin over its full length. Doubled thumb studs open the blade, with a button lock for rock solid lockup.

• Black DLC MagnaCut Blade - MagnaCut is a premium stainless that shrugs off rust and takes hard use without chipping, and the DLC coating adds its own wear resistance. Flat ground on thin stock, the modified clip point parts material rather than shouldering through it.
• Red Knurled Aluminum Handle - Knurling panels cover the face of the red anodized aluminum scales, cut fine and grippy. Slight contouring runs the perimiter of the handle, and aluminum build helps keep the weight down.
• Ball-Bearing Action & Button Lock - Thumb studs sit on both sides of the blade, so either hand can open it, and the blade swings out fast and free on ball bearings. The button locks it up crisp, and a press drops the blade shut.
• Long Deep-Carry Clip & Lanyard Hole - The clip is black to match the blade and hardware, and drilled for right-side tip-up carry. A lanyard hole is machined through the end of the handle for a bead or cord.

The Protech Avalon comes out of a collaboration between Protech and Peace Neighbor, the design collective founded by actor Shawn Ashmore. Protech builds every one in the USA, and the platform leans on the precise machining and tight tolerances the shop is known for. The design stays deliberate, giving a large folder real reach and cutting length without the bulk that usually rides along with it. A quick thumb press puts the blade to work fast enough to keep pace with a stack of delivery boxes at the back door.
