The Protech Knives Malibu is a manual folder with a swift, fluid flipper deployment and button lock mechanism. This slim folder exhibits all the precision fit and finish we know and love from Protech automatics delivered in a fast operating manual folder. Great for everyday carry, the Malibu can be used as a discreet tactical knife or larger gentleman's carry option. This Wharncliffe version comes with a black DLC coated CPM-20CV blade and black anodized aluminum handle.

Blade: Made from CPM-20CV with a durable, non-reflective black DLC coating, the sub-3.5" modified Wharncliffe blade delivers powerful performance with balanced durability thanks to the high saber grind, gentle belly and fine tip. Riding on a ball bearing pivot, the blade deploys fast and smooth via the integral index flipper tab.

Handle: Milled, hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handles have chamfered edges and subtle machined finger grooves for optimal comfort in the hand. The sweeping angle and subtle taper of the handle provide enhanced ergonomics and locks the hand in behind the integral flipper tab guard. The button lock mechanism is smooth, reliable, and easy to use.

Carries via a right-hand stainless-steel deep carry clip.

CPM-20CV: CPM-20CV (analog to M390 and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high level edge retention and corrosion resistance. Relatively easy to sharpen, the coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
