The Protech Tactical Response 5 is a full-size button lock automatic with a lightweight, durable build and comfortable, design that makes it a joy to use and carry. The drop point blade has straightforward functionality for both utility and martial use. This version has a black aluminum handle, abalone button inlay and custom Mike Irie hand compound ground and mirror polished CPM-S35VN blade.

Blade: The versatile drop point blade deploys via a button operated coil spring mechanism for fast one hand operation. American CPM-S35VN gets a custom treatment by knife maker Mike Irie with a hand compound hollow grind with mirror polished finish. This blade will deliver exceptional performance if you can bear to put it to use and makes a striking collector's piece.

Handle: Tough and lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum handles make the TR-5 easy to carry, while milled finger grooves provide a comfortable and secure grip in use. A hardened 410 steel back spacer protrudes from the handle for use as an impact tool and allows for lanyard attachment. The simple and robust button lock provides intuitive operation and secure lockup with an Abalone inlay for premium style. A slide safety offers added security in carry.

Carries via a right-hand stainless steel deep carry clip.

CPM-S35VN: Modified CPM-S30V designed for improved toughness (15-20%) and ease of machining and polishing. Well-balanced for daily use, S35VN has better edge retention and toughness compared to 440C or VG10, with equivalent corrosion resistance.
