Ferrum Forge has teamed up with Protech Knives to deliver a full production version of their custom Mordax Flipper. The Mordax is a sleek, modern button lock folder that carries light while providing heavy-duty performance. This limited run USN Gathering XIII version comes with a stonewashed CPM MagnaCut blade and black handle with toxic green G10 inlaid button lock. Serialized run of 60 pieces.

Blade: Made from premium CPM MagnaCut stainless steel the broad drop point blade come with a heavy stonewashed finish to hide wear while looking good. The high saber grind offers balanced durability and slicing performance with good belly and an index choil for optimal control. Riding on a ball bearing pivot, the blade deploys fast and smooth via the integral index flipper tab.

Handle: Hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle slabs have flat sides with deep chamfered edges for comfort in carry and use.  A deep index groove pairs with the flipper tab guard for secure carry while the sleek handle provides a solid grip with an inline channel for lanyard attachment. The toxic green G10 inlaid button lock mechanism is rock solid and reliable for safe use and is very fidget friendly. The handle is marked with the USN Gathering XIII logo and serial number.

Carries via a right-hand stainless steel deep carry clip.

CPM-MagnaCut: Developed by metallurgist Larrin Thomas (Knife Steel Nerds) MagnaCut is a powder metallurgy steel designed to deliver balanced high-performance with high hardness (up to 65 Rc), similar toughness to CPM-4V, and corrosion resistance better than M390, similar to LC200N. Sharpening is relatively easy, between CPM-154 and S35VN/S45VN. For an all around steel Magnacut is tough to beat.
