The Spyderco Thyn in M390 and Dark Matter Polar FatCarbon shrinks the Spyderco Slym integral into an even slimmer titanium sliver. Its flipper snaps the blade out the moment the crisp detent lets go.

• M390 Drop Point Blade - The full-flat-ground drop point is cut from Böhler M390, a powder stainless known for long edge retention and strong corrosion resistance. It sharpens slower than softer steels, and diamond stones speed up touch-ups. A crowned spine rounds the top edge.
• SOLID Titanium Frame with Dark Matter Polar FatCarbon - LionSTEEL machines the handle as a single piece of solid titanium with its SOLID process, then armors it in gray PVD. A matte, smooth Dark Matter Polar FatCarbon inlay of recycled carbon fiber and resin sits in the front face, marbled black and white.
• Reeve Integral Lock - The reverse side of the titanium frame forms a Reeve Integral Lock that locks up rock solid with zero blade play. A hardened steel interface on the lock bar resists wear far longer than bare titanium does.
• Flipper Tab & Round Hole Opening - A clean-breaking detent holds the blade shut until the flipper tab pushes past it, then the blade pops open on ball-bearing washers. Prefer your thumb? The Trademark Round Hole gives you a second one-handed way in.

The Spyderco Thyn is the compact sibling of the Spyderco Slym, based on the smaller LionSTEEL Emmet design from maker Michele Pensato. It keeps the Slym formula of a one-piece titanium handle, a frame lock, and both flipper and Round Hole opening, then trims it down to a size that barely registers in the pocket. LionSTEEL builds it in Italy exclusively for Spyderco.
