The Bushcraft Whittler custom fixed knife from maker Tom Krein is a compact yet robust outdoor knife that is nimble in performance while delivering a comfortable, full size handle. Its 3 inch blade offers versatility and precision in its cutting performance with a modified Scandi grind while Tom's Green Canvas Micarta handles are designed and finished to provide optimal comfort and control.

Blade: The slender drop point blade is reminiscent of the traditional Sloyd wood carving knife and is equipped with a modified Scandinavian grind with fine micro bevel. The flats have a fine satin finish with Tom's machine satin on the grinds. The blade retains plenty of strength at the spine for heavy work while the edge still delivers excellent cutting performance. A subtle yet effective finger guard provides added security with a small choil provided for ease of sharpening.

Handle: The handles are clean, ergonomic and secure in the hand. The Green canvas Micarta is handsome and durable and contrasts nicely with the Red G10 liners. A stylish Mosaic pin and oversize brass lanyard tube secure the handles to the full tang of the blade. The handle has a pronounced taper from pommel to blade with a large palm swell that locks the handle in the hand yet provides multiple grip options.

Sheath: Comes with a high quality leather belt sheath with Ferro rod loop and Light My Fire Ferrocerium fire starter.

A2 Tool Steel: An excellent air-hardening tool steel, A2 is tougher than AISI D2 and AISI M2, with less wear resistance. Its good toughness makes it a frequent choice for combat and outdoor knives. Sharpens easily to a razor like edge and has better corrosion resistance than most simple carbon steels.
