The custom TK-5 Magnum Hunter is a large drop point fixed blade hunting knife from maker Tom Krein. The TK-5 comes equipped with Krein's signature ergonomic handle design and performance oriented hollow grind with a massive, rugged build that will make this your go-to field knife in any season. This version comes with an acid washed Nitro-V stainless steel blade and green linen Micarta handle scales over red and orange liners with black Micarta pins.

Blade: A broad, +4 inch drop point blade has a performance-driven shallow hollow grind with a generous sweeping belly for skinning tasks and a spine swedge that tapers the tip to a fine piercing point. Tough, acid washed Nitro-V stainless steel hides wear from use and is discreetly non-reflective. The spine transitions smoothly from blade to handle allowing for a close grip and optimal control.

Handle: The massive handle consists of contoured linen Micarta scales on orange and red fiber liners attached to the full tang. A bird's head pommel and integral guard offer a safe, secure grip with subtle traction from the Micarta for extended comfort. The scales are attached via black Micarta pins and a hollow lanyard tube.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with large Tek-Lok.

Nitro-V Stainless Steel: Nitro-V is a modified AEB-L with Nitrogen and Vanadium added for enhanced performance. You get is a very fine-grained steel with exceptional edge stability, allowing for a very fine, high performance slicing edge. It is easy to sharpen, with good edge retention and high toughness for a stainless steel, close to M4.
