TOPS Knives Shango XL Joe Flowers 440C Survival Knife SHGO-XL

The big brother to the neck knife of the same name the TOPS Shango XL was designed by outdoor enthusiast and survival expert to function as an all-terrain survival tool with an ergonomic Black Linen Micarta handle and ⁵⁄₃₂" thick 440C Stainless Steel blade.

Blade: Per Joe's specification the XL has a more acute edge angle allowing this flat grind workhorse to excel at carving while the harpoon tip enhances durability. 440C Stainless provides good cutting performance with low maintenance further enhanced with a non-reflective, Tactical gray traction coating.

Handel: Black Linen Micarta handle scales are contoured for comfort while still offering excellent traction and control. The flared pommel allow for an extended grip for added power in light chopping and the Shango notch on the exposed tang throws out major sparks for fire making. Removable screws give the option of placing a small ferrocium rod inside a secret slot without fully removing the scales.

Sheath: Comes with a MOLLE compatible Tan nylon sheath with quick release fold over flap.

440C Stainless Steel: Overshadowed by modern, high vanadium steels, 440C is the highest carbon stainless steel of the 440 series. It is a very good blade steel having excellent corrosion resistance enhanced by its high polishability. 440C has good hardness, wear resistance are reasonable durability making it a solid choice when looking for high performance for a reasonable cost.
