Based on the same design as the Cold Steel Competition Throwing Axe, the Professional Throwing Hatchet is purpose built for throwing and sticking your target. This one gives its user the added benefit of a patent pending bolt clamp pole for fast and convenient handle change to replace damaged or broken handles in minutes with only a single Allen key.

Head: The head is drop forged 1055 carbon steel built for the durability required for throwing while having a geometry for a decisive stick in the target. At over an inch thick the head has plenty of weight at the pole with a dramatic taper down to the edge for solid penetration of targets. Bolt clamp attachment gives the head optimal security to stand up to the rigors of throwing. The axe comes with a simple, black rubber edge cover.

Handle: Straight, simple and durable Hickory wood is polished for a smooth, easy release handle that offers good durability for throwing and easy, budget friendly replacement. To replace simply loosen the bolts, slide out the old handle and replace it with a new one. Tighten for a secure fit.

1055 High Carbon Tool Steel: Borderline high carbon steel, 1055 is good for various use but is better suited for large knives and axes needing good toughness and shock resistance. 1055 has very low wear resistance and requires care to prevent corrosion.
