Details

The Mike Irie TS-7 in OD Green Canvas Micarta runs a hand-rubbed CPM-154 recurve that reaches well past the hand, a big field knife with grip that holds when your palms turn wet.

  • CPM-154 Recurve Spear Point Blade — Mike hollow-grinds the long recurve by hand and lays down a hand-rubbed satin that catches light along the flats. CPM-154 takes a keen edge, holds it through hard cutting, shrugs off rust in wet weather, and comes back sharp on the stones without a fight.
  • OD Green Canvas Micarta Handle — Layered canvas micarta in OD green gives the TS-7 a warm, worked-in look and a surface that grips back when your palms are wet or sweaty. The slabs are polished smooth and contoured to fill the hand, so the knife stays put through heavy cuts.
  • Full-Tang Workhorse — The blade steel runs unbroken from tip to pommel, so the TS-7 stands up to batoning, prying, and rough field chores without flex. You feel the heft the moment you lift it, and that weight is what lets the knife take a beating and keep cutting.
  • Black Kydex Belt Sheath — A formed black Kydex sheath locks the blade in with a firm click and rides flat on your belt by way of a sturdy loop. The hard shell wipes clean after messy work, sheds water, and keeps its shape season after season of carry.

The Mike Irie TS-7

Mike Irie has built knives full-time from his Colorado Springs shop since 1991, after learning the craft from his father-in-law, Barry Wood. He is known across the custom knife world for clean, even hand grinds, and he shapes and finishes each blade himself rather than sending it out. The TS-7 sits among his hard-use fixed blades, built with thick stock and a full-length tang for field work and demanding cutting jobs. Irie belongs to the Knifemakers Guild and the Professional Knifemakers Association, and each TS-7 ships direct from his bench in Colorado.
