Blade: Made from beefy, 3/16 inch thick 1095 High Carbon steel the cleaver style blade is differentially heat treated for optimal performance and coated with Tactical Gray Cerakote enhancing protection from corrosion. A high saber grind and slight curve of the blade makes chopping on a flat surface a breeze offering a good balance of durability for chopping and good geometry for slicing. A negative blade angle, jimped thumb scoop and secure grip help to deliver even more leverage for powerful chopping with a more neutral wrist position for reduced fatigue during extended use.

Handle: Chamfered Brown Burlap Micarta handle scales are attached over black liners to the full tang blade. The handles are comfortable and secure even in wet conditions and a pronounced index guard allows for a close grip for more controlled work. The Karambit-style end ring offers added security in the hand and allow for the knife to be used with some Karambit techniques for self-defense. Always make sure to keep important things clear of the path of the blade when swinging...legs, fingers, pets and small children come to mind.

Sheath: Carries via a custom molded Kydex sheath with leather dangler.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care. TOPS uses differential heat treated 1095 for optimal performance in both durability and edge retention.
