TOPS Knives Yacare 10.0 Acid Rain Machete YAC-01

The Yacare 10.0 is a ruthless medium to heavy machete designed by TOPS GM Craig Powell to be easy to carry and easy to use. It is barong-like with plenty of belly inspired by Craig's trips to both Costa Rica and Colombia. It's thick, but has a high sabre grind to keep the weight down and given a fine edge for chopping or slashing.

The Blade: Full 3/16" thick tang of hard working 1095 tool steel construction fashioned with ample belly for swift, clean cuts. The user can expect nearly 10 inches of cutting edge, which should be plenty for clearing just about anything. The Yacare is also an excellent chopper that would come in handy around any camp. It features TOPS Acid Rain finish for a dark, tumbled appearance unique to every blade. 

The Handle: Thick, well-contoured black canvas micarta handle scales are secured to the tang using hollow pin construction. This aids in weight reduction as well as lending itself to adding cordage for an improved secure-hand grip. TOPS has you covered when it comes to working comfort. The ergonomics are stellar. A swell and grooves right where you need them plus a curved guard before the cutting edge to keep your hand safe in use. The black is accented by white liners with a final touch of an extended lanyard hole pommel.
